DESCRIPTION:
Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention of athletic injuries; the maintenance of the health and well-being; 
and the recuperation and rehabilitation following illness or injury of all players.
 
The Athletic Trainer works under the supervision and in direct contact with the Team Physician and/or medical
consultants associated with the team, with the aim of fielding a healthy squad of players for the Traverse City
Beach Bums pre-season, regular season and post-season practices, exhibitions and games.
 
The Athletic Trainer must meet with the Field Manager on a regular basis and report on the overall health and
progress of the players.
 
Responsibilities: Work in conjunction with team doctors, evaluate, advise, and treat athletes to assist recovery from injury,
   avoid injury, or maintain peak physical fitness. Treat minor injuries and disabilities. Administer first aid to injured players. Wrap ankles, fingers, or wrists for support. Oversee the daily management of the training room, including ordering and storing supplies and equipment. Call physicians for seriously injured athletes. Along with general manager, assist injured athletes in completing and submitting insurance claims.

Qualifications:
· Requires traveling with the team, night and weekend games.
· Must be certified in Michigan.
