Duties: The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in the daily prevention , maintenance, care and prevention of athletic injuries. The candidate will provide athletic training services for intercollegiate athletic programs as well as game coverage for athletic teams as assigned by the head athletic trainer, supervise student workers, and perform other duties as assigned by the head athletic trainer.

Robert Morris College
Title: Assistant Athletic Trainer
Requirements: Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science with an emphasis in either athletic training or sports medicine. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the athletic training field and must have a current CPR/First Aid certification. Candidates must also be licensed by the State of Illinois and be NATA certified trainers. This position requires overnight travel and the ability to work irregular hours including evenings, nights and weekends. Local candidates preferred; relocation assistance will not be provided.
Duties: Robert Morris College is recruiting for a FULL-TIME Assistant Athletic Trainer for our Chicago campus. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in the daily duties of implementing programs for the prevention and treatment of injuries related to student-athletes, administering first aid and emergency medical care, and developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for men's and women's athletic teams. The selected individual will provide coverage for home and away events, oversee game day set up and provide daily training room coverage for athletic injury evaluation. The selected individual is also expected to maintain direct lines of communication with team physicians and other related professionals.

Title: Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer
Requirements: National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification in good standing and State of Illinois athletic training license are required. A master's degree is preferred. Prior successful experience in the field with evidence of ability to relate well to students, department members, and colleagues is a must. College athletic training experience is preferred. Duties: Graduate assistants will be primarily responsible for providing on-site coverage for intramural and sport club events including league play and special events. Graduate assistants in these positions will also provide athletic training coverage and first aid to students and patrons of the Student Recreation Center during peak usage hours. In addition, opportunitymay exist to interface Intercollegiate Athletics, as well. These gradaute assistantships are a cooperative effort between SIU Recreational Sports and Services and the Student Health Center. Supervision will be provided by an athletic trainer at the Student Health Center.
Additional Info: Graduate assistants are expected work 20 hours a week including some nights and weekends. These are 10 month appointments beginning approximately August 15th 2008. All appointments include a monthly stipend along with a full tuition waiver.
