Create a relationship between you, the ATC, and legislators, both Republican and Democrat.
Introduce yourself as a Licensed Athletic Trainer and describe what your job entails and how it benefits the physically active people of this state.
Tips:
- Be concise! Get to the point
- Do not get into big issues, complain, or adversely describe another profession or person.
- Focus on the great things athletic trainers do to provide quality and cost effective medical care.
- Use this letter as as stepping stone to follow-up phone calls and meetings.
