Our Mission

The mission of the IATA is to improve the quality of healthcare in the State of Illinois through the advancement, promotion, and improvement of the athletic training profession at all levels, and to promote a better working relationship among those interested in athletic training by providing a means for a free exchange of ideas.

Education

All athletic trainers are required to earn a minimum of 50 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every two years, with 10 of those categorized as Evidence-Based Practice CEUs.  The next reporting deadline for athletic trainers is December 31, 2017.   For more information about CEU requirements and categories, please visit the Board of Certification’s website.

The IATA shares information about CEU events  and courses available to athletic trainers across Illinois. To post information about your course or symposium, please click here to contact the Communications Director.
