Region 1 News
Region 1 Members,
Hope everyone is enjoying some type of relaxation this summer. Here is some updates from the last Board of Directors Meeting on July 10th:
1. The following positions are up for election this fall: Reg 3 & 4 Reps,
Secretary, President Elect & Vice President. Interested individuals should
request an application from either IATA President Mike Overturf
(iata_president@illinoisathletictrainers.org) or IATA Past-President Bill Hughes (whughes@naperville203.org) Voting begins in early September.
2. Future eBlasts will be sent out on the 15th of the month. Please send
pertinent information to me by the 1st so I can forward the information on.
3. THE IATA NEEDS YOUR HELP:
-Interested individuals that want to be part of a crisis management team for the IATA can send their name my way &
-anyone interested in hosting the IATA Hospitality room during the 2012 GLATA meeting should contact President Overturf at his email listed above.
4. Online Registration for the Annual IATA meeting to be held at the Bloomington Marriort November 5-6 will begin in early September.
5. The next BOD Meeting will be Sunday, September 11th at Noon as a Webinar, more details will be listed on the website for those members that wish to log on.
6. Thanks to those that participate in the Member Survey!! The BOD is hard at work to act on suggestions and recommendations.
