Region 3 Newsletter

November 2011 

My name is Desiree’ Burris and I am excited to begin my tenure serving as Region 3 Representative for the IATA. I attended Augustana College (IL) for my undergraduate degree and completed my Mater’s in Athletic Training at Shenandoah University (VA). 

My professional career began at AthletiCo four years ago and I currently work in the Athletic Training Deparment  as a Regional Athletic Training Coordinator. In this position, I am responsible for the oversight of the Chicagoland western suburbs region consisting of 8 High Schools, 2 Colleges, and 3 unique sports centers involving 17 Certified Athletic Trainers.  

I work to ensure that the highest level of service is met within these affiliations, as well as ensuring the highest levels of communication are met to the AthletiCo facilities and the Corporate office. In June I married my husband Matt and we currently reside at our home in North Aurora.
