The goal of the COPA is to develop, enhance & support avenues of revenue for the profession of Athletic Training in the State of Illinois. This committee is comprised of the COPA chair, Governmental Affairs Director, GAD-Elect or Past- GAD, and other members as designated by the COPA chair. Members may represent athletic trainers working in all settings, including hospital, clinic, secondary school, college, professional sports, industry, performing arts, public safety, etc.

 Progress Note Templates

In January 2023, amendments to our state practice act took effect, requiring athletic trainers who received patients by referral from other providers, to send the referring provider a progress note every 30 days during treatment. COPA has created the following templates that athletic trainers may use to fulfill this requirements.
