The mission of the IATA is to improve the quality of healthcare in the State of Illinois through the advancement, promotion, and improvement of the athletic training profession at all levels, and to promote a better working relationship among those interested in athletic training by providing a means for a free exchange of ideas.
You're invited to attend the Region 2 spring seminar, with two guest speakers from Loyola University. Dr. Stacey Bennis will be speaking on Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms in Female Athletes, and Dr. John Miller will be speaking on The Athlete's Hip.
This event will be held on Thursday, June 6th, at Lockport Township High School (East campus). Registration and a continental breakfast will be open at 7:30am, and the lectures will begin at 8am. This event is eligible for 2 Category A CEUs. Attendance is free for IATA members, and $10 for all others. The IATA is an approved BOC CEU provider (#P308).
Course objectives include:
> Attendees will develop a better understanding of lower urinary tract symptoms and the associated core muscle anatomy, biomechanics, and pathophysiology that leads to altered bladder health in female athletes.
> Attendees will have a better understanding of the various pathologies that may produce hip pain in the athletic population.
