Andrea Kovalsky is the Head Athletic Trainer at Granite City High School in Granite City, Illinois. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Northern Illinois University in 2011, and continued her education at North Central College in 2013, to earn her teaching license in Health and Physical Education. While at North Central, she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and clinical preceptor. She completed her Master's degree in Athletic Training at Illinois State University in 2019, where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and clinical preceptor at a local high school. Andrea is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Athletic Training degree from Florida International University. She is honored to be recognized as the 2017 recipient of the NIU Athletic Training Outstanding Alumnus award, and the 2021 IATA Young Professionals' Award. Andrea also serves as the NATA District 11 Secretary, reporting to the NATA Secretaries and Treasurers Committee. She is a 2016 graduate of the NATA StarTracks program and currently resides in Collinsville, IL.
