Chris Murphy is a graduate of Northern Illinois University's Athletic Training Program. He has also completed a Masters in Educational Leadership from Lewis University in 2010. He has worked as a secondary school athletic trainer at Glenbard East High School since 2003, working as an outreach athletic trainer before being hired full-time. Besides his athletic training role, he is also a Health Education teacher. Prior to joining the Secondary Schools Committee, Chris served on the IHSA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching sports, and traveling. He is an Illinois native, currently residing in Plainfield, with his wife Tanya and daughter Madison.
