Whitney Carter
Council on Leadership and Career Advancement Chair
Whitney Carter is a proud Chicago native whose journey in athletic training has been shaped by both her love for sports and her heart for people. She began her path at Michigan State University, earning her bachelor’s degree before continuing on to Temple University for her master’s. From there, Whitney’s career took her across the country — from The Ohio State University, to an internship in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, to the University of Houston. Each stop deepened her passion for caring for athletes and walking alongside them in both their victories and challenges.
Eventually, Whitney felt called to bring her experiences back to the secondary school setting, first in Georgia and now in her hometown of Chicago. Today, she serves as an Athletic Trainee at DePaul College Prep, where she blends her clinical expertise with compassion, mentorship, and a commitment to helping student-athletes thrive on and off the field.
Outside of work, Whitney loves traveling, discovering new places, and spending time with her goldendoodle, Luca — who keeps life fun and full of joy.
