Need help finding what you're looking for?
The mission of the IATA is to improve the quality of healthcare in the State of Illinois through the advancement, promotion, and improvement of the athletic training profession for practicing Athletic Trainers in all settings, and to be proactive in creating effective partnerships in our communities, as well as among those interested in athletic training as a career. In addition, IATA provides a means for a free exchange of ideas for the Illinois athletic training field.
The Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposium will be held on June 11-12, 2022, and is the opportunity for athletic trainers across the state to gather for education and celebration. Over the course of a weekend, there are a variety of classes and events offered. The state meeting is your opportunity to get involved with the IATA, connect with athletic trainers you may rarely see, visit vendor booths, and learn about new trends in the profession. In an effort to appeal to more members, we have decided to move the Annual Meeting from its traditional November date to June. Join us at the Crown Plaza in Springfield this summer!

Registration is on the all-in-one Whova platform. You'll find the full agenda there, with tons of information online in one place. Join us on Whova to interact with fellow attendees. Moving our annual meeting to the summer allows you to make this a weekend getaway. Here's more information on all Springfield has to offer:
Springfield is an amazing place for the history of our state and country. No trip to Springfield is complete without a visit to the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The Ghost of the Library is a show-stopper for all ages!
Downtown Springfield is loaded with more Lincoln sites, including his home, law office, and the old State Capitol building. Check out this blog on Lincoln sites.

Due to another convention happening at the Crowne Plaza during this weekend, rooms at the venue have been fully booked for Friday night. There are still rooms available for Saturday night, however. Here is the booking information along with a list of hotels very close to the Crowne Plaza. As things progress more rooms may become available at the Crowne but we recommend not waiting to book.
The application period for the 2022 Clinical Symposium has closed. Applications will be accepted for the 2023 Clinical Symposium at a later date.
